How To Pollute The Environment? Pollution  is the introduction of  contaminants  into the natural environment that cause adverse change. [1]  Pollution can take the form of  chemical substances  or  energy , such as noise, heat or light.  Pollutants , the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies or naturally occurring contaminants. Pollution is often classed as  point source  or  nonpoint source pollution . In 2015, pollution killed 9 million people in the world. [2] [3] Major forms of pollution include:  Air pollution ,  light pollution ,  littering ,  noise pollution ,  plastic pollution ,  soil contamination ,  radioactive contamination ,  thermal pollution ,  visual pollution ,  water pollution .

How To P rotect Our Environment? Environmental protection  is the practice of protecting the natural environment by individuals, organizations and governments. [1]  Its objectives are to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and, where possible, to repair damage and reverse trends. [2] Due to the pressures of  overconsumption ,  population growth  and technology, the  biophysical environment  is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized, and governments have begun placing restraints on activities that cause  environmental degradation . Since the 1960s,  environmental movements  have created more awareness of the various  environmental problems . There is disagreement on the extent of the  environmental impact of human activity  and even  scientific dishonesty  occurs, so protection measures are occasionally debated.
